Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Ferkans ("we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use our websites and applications (including Riyaziat and TelecommBook) and our video-management tools. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data we collect
- Account data — email address and authentication identifiers when you create a Ferkans account.
- Usage & content data — your learning progress, notes, and settings, so they sync across your devices.
- Technical data — IP address, device/browser type, and logs, used for security and to operate the service.
- YouTube account access (operator only) — for our internal video-upload tool, an authorized Ferkans operator grants access to a Ferkans-owned YouTube channel via Google OAuth. We do not access viewers' YouTube accounts.
2. YouTube API Services
Our applications and tools use YouTube API Services to upload, organize, and deliver educational video content.
- By using video features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
- Data accessed or processed through the YouTube API is handled in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.
- You can review and revoke Ferkans' access to your Google/YouTube account at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- We request only the minimum YouTube API scopes needed to manage our own video content, and we do not sell or transfer YouTube data to third parties.
- Authorization tokens and any cached YouTube API data are retained only as long as needed for the upload/management task and are deleted on request or when access is revoked.
3. How we use data
- To provide and sync your account, progress, and content across devices.
- To deliver video lessons (via YouTube for free content; via our own secured hosting for paid content).
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Legal bases (GDPR Art. 6): performance of a contract (providing the service), your consent (where requested), and our legitimate interests (security and improvement).
4. Sharing
We share data only with processors that help us run the service — including Google/YouTube (video), our authentication and database provider, and our hosting/CDN provider — each under a data-processing agreement. We do not sell personal data.
5. Storage & retention
Data is stored on servers located in the EU where possible. We keep personal data only as long as your account is active or as needed for the purposes above and legal requirements, then delete it.
6. Your rights & data deletion
- You may access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent, at any time.
- To delete your account and associated data, email ferkans.team@gmail.com; we action verified requests promptly.
- To revoke our access to your Google/YouTube account, use Google's security settings.
- You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.
7. Children
Our services are intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 without verifiable parental consent.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
